A New Home...New Repairs!

We closed on our new home on December 27th and we have had quite the adventure so far. Who thought a new home would have so mnay repairs! Here is a brief list of the challenges for the "new" house.

1. No Refridgerator - The fridge was removed a few weeks prior to closing -

2. Electricity - Our main panel was stolen from the outside of our home - so we had no heat or electricity for a few days.

3. Water - Because the house "winterized" we had to turn the water back on to the house after the heat was working. OH - they didn't know how to winterize and we have a broken pipe to the hose connection outside - that will be a fun spring project.

4. Dishwasher Repair - Although new...it leaks. One more repair!

5. Missing Lights! - Our main entry light and two fans were missing. I hope someday to have those installed.

6. Light bulbs - although minor we have replaced most of the light bulbs inside and out.

7. Wood Repair - In the moving process we have damaged some furniture and handrails, etc.

8. The Garage - I am blaming this incident on my pregnancy. I went to my car in the garage and opened the garage, got on my phone, got inside my car, pressed the garage door opener (again) and backed into my closing garage door.

Eventhough we have had a few set backs we are so extremely happy to be in our new home. Thanks to everyone for their support and happy words!

Even though it is gorgeous it sucks to have all of those problems when it is so new. Hey it was total pregnancy with the garage door, it makes you loony because your memory is gone.

The garage story is pretty funny. It is totally something I would do and then think how in the world could I have done that but it somehow happens:). It only gets worse after the kids are here! sorry to hear about all the mishaps but it looks so beautiful and I hope you are enjoying being in it finally. How is baby's room coming? Only a month left, I can't believe it!!

congrats on getting in your new house! once you're all done and settled you will forget all the crap that you had to do to get that point (hopefully). So are due soon, yeah! You probably already had a shower, but if you haven't, then you should invite me cuz i want to see you! :)

House stuff is so crazy, there is always something to deal with. I am just so happy for you that all this happened before the baby is here. Life as you know it is about to drastically change. I am so excited I get to witness it first hand!

Haha...I can't believe you backed into your garage door! You must be hanging around Adrea and my mom too much. Have you heard my mom's garage door story. You'll have to get her to tell you about it. It's a good one. Oh and I will post some things to my blog, I have been having bad luck with computers that work nicely with my camera, so hopefully tomorrow will or this week I can post pictures and some coments.
